Satisfy your sweet tooth and boost your protein intake with this awesome recipe, made even easier by the best mixing protein in the business! 2-3 ingredients, three minutes, a microwave and a mug. That’s how far you are from a protein mug cake that boasts only about 150 calories, really low carbs and about 23g of high quality protein!

We have to admit that we complete forgot about how easy it is to make a healthy cake with our awesome protein powder. We aren't reinventing the wheel here as there are tons of protein mug cake recipes on the internet. We just thought it would be great to share some of our ideas with you.  

Let's get going!

【1】Add a serving of ViGO Protein powder in a mug.

【2】Pour about 70ml of water or milk (milk or your choice of milk alternative is best).

【3】Mix everything together into a thick paste. Using ViGO Protein will make the mixing easy!

【4】Microwave the mug for 30 seconds on medium power. Just make sure you don't overcook it. Ideally, the cake should be a bit moist, with a bit of liquid in it. 

【5】Let it cool down before devouring. Don't burn your mouth!

【6】Add a topping of your choice (optional): yogurt, cacao nibs, some peanut butter, etc. Be mindful of the calories, though!

Some of our tips:

【1】Add some baking powder (1/4 teaspoon) to make the cake softer.

【2】Add some coffee or peanut butter in the mix for more energy, nutrition and flavour

【3】We love adding coffee to the ViGO Protein Chocolate and Cookies & Cream flavours. We find that this combination works great!

Here's what our kids did with Strawberry ViGO Protein: they've added sprinkles. Each will have 1/2 a mug cake (10g protein apiece), a glass of milk and a fruit for breakfast!

    This is great.
    Mine came a bit hard and chewy, though. Any suggestions?

      Hi Henk. Try microwaving it for less. When you take it out of the microwave it should still have some “sauce” in it. Also, you can try add a little bit of baking powder.
